Who we are:
the right mix of pros.
When your brand is in someone else’s hands, you want that someone to be smart, focused and experienced. That someone is TRAY. Collectively, our principals and core team members have decades of expertise in marketing, branding, design, copywriting, strategic planning, web development and more—all the elements you need to elevate your brand.
Ralph Allora, principal/marketing director, has been passionate about creative communications since he self-distributed a hand-drawn Mad magazine-type comic (circulation: approx. 3) when he was eight years old. He eventually moved up to slightly bigger publications, taking on management and creative marketing roles at magazines such as Esquire, Motor Trend, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report. In his wide-ranging experience as a marketing consultant and copywriter, his clients have included The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Gourmet, Architectural Digest, Self, Good Housekeeping, Discover and CondéNet. He is the author of Winning Sales Letters From Prospect to Close, published by McGraw-Hill. Ralph has also been serving up the TRAY philosophy—about giving back while helping businesses grow—through his pro bono work with organizations such as The Outward Bound Center for Peacebuilding, Career Gear and Rational Animal.
Bridget Perez, principal/creative director, has led a versatile, results-producing career in the creative world—from production manager of a large city magazine, to creative director for a prestigious university, to running her own boutique creative studio. Bridget brings wit, style and thoughtful expertise to brand identity building, collateral and website design, advertising campaigns and high-concept communication. Her clients have included The J. Paul Getty Museum and Trust, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Orange Coast Memorial Hospital, LA County Fair, the Alex Theatre, USC, Occidental College, Russell Investments and the Los Angeles Business Journal. She is passionate about smart, eco-positive solutions and the importance of building sustainable brands. Bridget is a long-time supporter of public radio, breast cancer and AIDS research, and various educational and human rights organizations. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication with a specialization in Spanish from Ohio University, as well as an MA in management from Claremont Graduate University.
James Pope, graphic/digital designer, has a keen eye for clean, meaningful design and a love of the eclectic. He approaches each new design as a challenge and searches for the most fitting and creative solution. Prior to joining TRAY, James was a designer at Electric Pen Design in Seattle, where he developed marketing materials for clients including Starbucks, Microsoft and Nokia. He has also worked on motion graphics, print and web designs at Peterson Designs. Originally from Ventura, California, James says he is much more comfortable in Seattle with its higher tree-to-people ratio. In addition to passions such as surfing, biking and photography, he’s an avid Pearl Jam fan and a volunteer for many of the band’s social causes and charities. He received a BA in Communication Design at California State University, Chico.
Kayley Freshman-Caffrey, marvelous marketing intern, manages TRAY’s social media efforts and assists with market research and marketing campaigns. She is a senior at the University of Washington, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Kayley enjoys young adult fiction and hopes to someday become a published author in that genre. Her other interests include singing, acting and tennis. She strongly values TRAY’s focus on corporate social responsibility, as one of her primary beliefs is that corporations exist to serve society, not vice-versa.
