    Caffe Vita came to us with an outdated website that did not reflect their brand and an antiquated e-commerce platform. After a thorough evaluation of their processes and objectives, we architected and designed the site that would help to streamline and improve online sales, as well as infuse the personality, community values, and story of Caffe Vita into the online experience.

    Urbanadd is a boutique Seattle architecture firm with an experienced, innovative and talent-packed team. They wanted their website to reflect their expertise, but also infuse a sense of fun and personality, since this is ultimately what resonates with their clients. We designed and developed a multi-layered, parallax-style site, with a custom portfolio gallery and unique navigation structure that reflects the nature of this firm.

    Aquatic Reserves

    The Washington Environmental Council needed a stand-alone website designed and developed for their Aquatic Reserves program. They needed a site that was visually engaging, user-friendly, and mobile responsive with a flexible CMS solution, that would allow for many different people to access and update content with ease.

    Avvo Ignite

    We created content for and designed and developed this custom WordPress microsite for Avvo Ignite, a proprietary lead-generation and CRM platform for attorneys. The site is designed to both drive lead-generation via a free trial signup and to establish a strong brand positioning. The site also includes Avvo University, a free resource section containing videos, webinars, whitepapers and events related to online marketing for attorneys.

    Seattle Animal Shelter

    This outdoor advertising campaign encourages Seattleites to respect and protect the local animal population, using humor rather than heartstrings to drive the message home. The campaign features a tongue-in-cheek approach to a typically serious topic: spay/neuter, a playful social media theme to promote pet adoption, and a proud, medal-winning dog to promote pet licensing.

    Alteryx Inspire 2013

    Alteryx engaged our team to develop branding and messaging for their annual conference, Inspire. After establishing a visual direction, we developed all printed and digital collateral for the event, including the conference guide, map, name tags, presentation templates, web and email banners, and all on-site signage.

    Berry Delight

    This Bay Area frozen yogurt shop was seeking brand development and messaging for their franchise. After identifying their unique positioning and value in the marketplace, Berry Delight needed an approach that would convey their commitment to quality, locally-sourced, fresh ingredients, and unsurpassed customer satisfaction. In addition to a logo refresh, we developed a new visual direction and tone for the brand, which then carried through to the execution of a new website, messaging, in-store signage and decor, packaging, iconography and collateral.

    Mimic Technologies

    We’ve been working with this pioneer in robotic surgery simulation and training since 2012, when we overhauled the company’s visual branding and communications to better reflect its leadership role in the field. Upon completing the brand rollout, we designed a content-rich website with a custom WordPress CMS. The site includes an interactive curriculum-sharing portal and robust event registration module, as well as integrations with Marketo and SalesForce.

Bridget Perez

Bossy Pants Creative Director

Principal and co-founder of TRAY Creative, Bridget has led a versatile, results-producing career—from production manager of a large city magazine to creative director for a prestigious university—before founding TRAY. She brings wit, style and thoughtful expertise to brand identity building, user interface design, marketing campaigns and high-concept communication. She has consulted with The Getty Leadership Institute, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, The Claremont Colleges, and the Los Angeles Business Journal. Bridget is a long-time supporter of public radio (KEXP!), breast cancer research, and various educational and human rights organizations. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University, as well as an MA in management from Claremont Graduate University.


James Pope

Pearl Jam Fanatical Lead Designer

James has a keen eye for clean, meaningful design and a love of the eclectic. He approaches each new design as a challenge and searches for the most fitting and creative solution. Prior to joining TRAY, James work with clients including Starbucks, Microsoft and Nokia. Originally from Ventura, California, James says he is much more comfortable in Seattle with its higher tree-to-people ratio. In addition to passions such as surfing, biking and photography, he’s an avid Pearl Jam fan and a volunteer for many of the band’s social causes and charities. He received a BA in Communication Design at California State University, Chico.

Christine Estrada

Foul-mouthed Web Developer

Christine combines tech skills with people skills, and can easily converse with clients in English rather than tech speak. She’s worked as a designer, developer, and tech manager in the web industry for over 16 years and remembers the good ‘ol days of Lynx. She’s a pro in front-end technologies and specializes in responsive web development, open source solutions, and custom WordPress and ExpressionEngine applications. Christine loves running, hiking, nordic skiing, and yoga and is usually off on some crazy mountain adventure with her equally crazy dog. She crochets little animals and collects sparkly things and can be easily bribed with peanut butter cups. She can bust out some mean 50 Cent and Ludacris. Christine has a BS in Computer Graphics from Purdue University.

Ralph Allora

Dog-spoiling Content and Marketing Specialist

Ralph has more than 20 years experience in marketing, advertising and publishing, specializing in marketing strategy, promotions and creative services. He is one of the original co-founders of TRAY Creative and is the author of “Winning Sales Letters From Prospect to Close,” published in 2009 by McGraw-Hill. His corporate experience includes management and creative marketing roles at some of America’s largest and best-known media brands such as Esquire, Motor Trend, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report. Ralph is passionate about giving back, and currently sits on the board of the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation.


Martha Tesema

Over-achieving Intern

Martha is a recent graduate from Seattle University, where she studied Journalism, despite the lingering rumors of print’s demise. In her short career, she’s worked with marketing and social media departments at a variety of organizations–from the Radio Disney offices to EMP Museum in Seattle to news outlets in Prague. Be it a 1,000-word think piece or 140-character tweet, her versatile experience in the media field has helped her hone her communication skills. When she’s not squeezing her way through the crowd of concerts or setting up the perfect Instagram shot, she is writing and photographing her way around the world.
